Obama/Clinton Media Lovefest

Posted by Darryl D. Smith on February 26, 2008

obama_somali.jpgBy now, everyone has seen it or heard of it. It’s the photo that has caused a firestorm of backlash for the Hillary Clinton campaign and possibly added more deterrents to the Obama campaign.

Either way, it appears that the photo has dominated the mainstream media for a few days. The sad part about the whole incident is no one is taking blame for it, and no one is saying exactly where it came from.

As a journalist, I am getting kind of disgusted by the constant coverage of Obama/Clinton. While I am a Democrat, I feel that there are more things happening that do not involve Obama/Clinton that need to be covered. If all this coverage is going on now, what will it be like in June when we know for sure who is running?

I agree that this is an important race, but I am not trying to have an, as CNN called it, Obama/Clinton Media Lovefest. Can we stick to some other news for a little while?

senator clinton is deplorable, her chances for the nomination are non-existent and the best she can do is show a sitting us senator doing the same thing all us senators do when they visit other countries and show respect to their cultures. mrs. clinton… give it up!
